Mike Gau practiced law for over 20 years in Iowa, and became associated with higher education as an instructor at Loras College and Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in 2000. Gau served as Dean of Business and Arts and Sciences from 2003-2014 at NICC. As part of his Dean role, Gau was the administrative lead for NICC’s participation in a National Science Foundation funded online consortium for teaching and professional development in an agriculture related discipline. Gau also served as Managing Director of the Private Client Group at U.S. Bank, N.A. for almost two years.
Gau joined the Alternative Delivery Systems team in July 2016 as Assistant Executive Director and will assist in the administration of the Office of Continuing Education and Distance Learning Center.
Gau currently serves as a member of the NICC Foundation Board of Trustees, and is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Illinois.
Gau lives in Peosta, Iowa, with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golfing, sports of all sorts, and reading.
