Professional ExperienceFor the past approximately 16 years, Cleo Magnuson has worked in higher education, serving as an instructional designer and as an adjunct faculty member for a university in the Midwest. Previously she was active in the development of a special interest group for Quality Matters - the Instructional Designers' Association (QM-IDA). This group grew from a handful of interested members to 294 at its launch during the QM conference in Baltimore in 2014. Magnuson has published and presented on distance learning regionally, nationally, and internationally (Russia).
Magnuson joined the Distance Learning Center in 2015. In her position, she provides instructional design and support to faculty/clients to facilitate the development of educational materials for delivery in an online environment.
Magnuson lives in the Atlanta, GA area where she enjoys biking, hiking, camping, sewing and painting.
