Online Praxis tests through BadgerLink are located on the Karrmann’s Library website–
Click on Resources by Subject under the Resources tab. Click on the Education link and look for the LearningExpress Library under the Electronic Databases.

Type in Praxis in the Find Resources box. Multiple online Praxis tests are available here.

The Karrmann Library also has many resource books to check out and also at the resource desk.  Use these free materials to assist in your Praxis testing.

The AV-Lab, also known as the Educational Media Technology Laboratory (EMTL), is a resource center for the School of Education. It has Macintosh and Windows operating system computers, SMART boards, scanners, projection equipment, digital cameras, camcorders, software and other equipment for the development of electronic portfolios and multimedia instructional resources.

The Instructional Materials Laboratory (IML) is a curriculum library supporting the School of Education. The IML loans pre-K through 12th grade materials for teachers and education students. The collection includes practical and applied materials including lesson plans, children’s textbooks, tests, children's and young adult literature (fiction and non-fiction), and teacher edition classroom materials. Education theory, history, and research materials are located in the Elton S. Karrmann Library. The IML is located on the third floor of the Karrmann Library.

Services for Students with Disabilities

The goal of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Services for Students with Disabilities office is to assist students with disabilities in obtaining reasonable academic accommodations and/or auxiliary aids. They work with students, faculty, and staff to ensure assessment of students' abilities, not disabilities. Referrals may also be made for non-academic accommodations.

University Tutoring Services (UTS) offers one-on-one peer tutoring services to any student regardless of skill level or grade point average for a minimal fee.

Student Support Services

Student Support Services provides free services for eligible students. Tutoring is available for most 1000-2000 level courses and selected 3000-4000 level courses. Workshops covering study skills, reading, mathematics and computer usage are also offered. A counselor/advisor and a learning specialist are available.

Writing and Tutoring Resources

The Writing Center free tutoring is available for students wanting extra help with writing strategies. Drop in or make an appointment from 10:00 a.m.– 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m.– 4 p.m. on Friday. Other times are available by appointment.

The Mathematics Learning Center

The Mathematics Learning Center offers free drop in tutoring for all 1000 and 2000 level math courses and math based science courses. Check with the center for hours available.

The Algebra Skills Center

The Algebra Skills Center provides assistance to students taking elementary and intermediate algebra. It offers individual tutoring, computer lab with software to improve skills, and alternative and make-up testing services. Every class lesson is available for study on DVD.
