PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Center for the Arts will present the Wisconsin Brass Quintet on Sunday, April 13 in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall at 2 p.m.

The Wisconsin Brass Quintet is a faculty ensemble-in-residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music with a commitment to commissioning new music and performing music of the 20th and 21st centuries.

According to Barry Kilpatrick from the American Record Guide, the Wisconsin Brass Quintet is “a remarkable ensemble that plays with more reckless abandon, warmth, stylistic variety and interpretive interest than almost any quintet in memory.”

The American Record Guide calls it “…one of the very best.”

Tickets for this event are $12 for general admission, $8 for children under 18 and senior citizens 62 and older and $6 for UW-Platteville students with current ID.

Tickets are available through the University Box Office, located in the lower level of Ullsvik Hall. Phone orders can be made by calling (608) 342-1298 or toll free at (877) 727-1CFA. Tickets are also available online at tickets.uwplatt.edu

The next event in the Performing Arts Series is “Hair,” on April 17 at 7 p.m. For more information on the Performing Arts Series and other performances, visit uwplatt.edu/cfa.
