Professor honored for business and marketing

PLATTEVILLE- A University of Wisconsin-Platteville business and accounting faculty member was recently selected to serve as a track chair at the American Marketing Association (AMA) conference in Orlando, Fla.

Louis Nzegwu, director of the UWP International Resource Business Center, was among eight marketing professors selected from across the United States for the honor.

As track chair, Nzegwu was involved in selecting session chairs for the instructional innovations track, reviewers for the competitive papers and discussion leaders for accepted papers.

"It is a great honor and distinction to be selected for this award," said Nzegwu. "The AMA is the biggest and most prestigious marketing group in the country."

Nzegwu has been an associate professor of the UWP Business Administration, Department of Business and Accounting since 1991. He holds a master of education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

The AMA is composed of leading scholars, teachers and marketing professionals. The organization has more than 38,000 members as well as 750,000-plus marketing professionals working today in the U.S. and Canada.
