Open forum headlines UWP Black History Month events

January 31, 2003

PLATTEVILLE - An open forum designed to open lines of cross-cultural communication will be held at 6 p.m. in the University Room of the Pioneer Student Center Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The forum - "What Is it Like to be You?" - is sponsored by UWP's Multicultural Services (MCS) as part of Black History Month events and will feature students and faculty from different walks of life.

The University community and the public are cordially invited. There is no charge to attend the event.

MCS Director Carlos Wiley said participants would learn what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes, regardless of ethnicity or disability.
