UW-Platteville chemistry program named 4th in Wisconsin
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville was recently named the fourth best college for chemistry majors in the state of Wisconsin, according to Zippia, a website dedicated to helping people find and pursue the right career.
Zippia used data from the National Center for Education Statistics and College Scorecard data from ED.gov to look at post graduation career results, earnings and individual school performances to create a list of the top five colleges. Online Master’s in Engineering program ranked in top 25 for affordability
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Master of Science in Engineering program has been ranked in the top 25 for Affordable Online Master’s in Engineering Degrees by AffordableColleges.com.
Dr. Philip Parker, UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Engineering program coordinator, said the award speaks to the efforts the university has made to make this high quality program more accessible to students around the globe.
“The affordability and accessibility of the Master of Science in Engineering program provides students with opportunities that can help them achieve their career goals,” Parker said. “This award reaffirms the important role programs like ours can play in preparing individuals to advance and excel in the workforce.”
The Master of Science in Engineering program offers a wide variety of electives and provides an opportunity to select an emphasis area in Engineering Management, in addition to Engineering Design, Applications of Engineering Management, Control (Electrical) Systems, and Structural/Geotechnical Engineering. The program is not only designed to be affordable, but to help students increase their earning potential. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that an engineer’s median annual salary is approximately $91,000. Advanced degrees can also help individuals move into management roles and achieve their career goals.

Project Management program recognized as top online college

Individuals in our accredited master’s program can use their coursework toward this certification.
