19th annual Holiday Gala to include silent auction and raffle
PLATTEVILLE, Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Platteville will hold its 19th annual Holiday Gala Dec. 12-13 in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall, Center for the Arts, at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the lively holiday music, sing-alongs, and guest performers, this year’s Gala will include a silent auction and 50/50 raffle drawing.
For the silent auction, the Green Bay Packers have donated a stamped, autographed ball signed by the 2013 players and coaching staff. The Milwaukee Brewers have donated two club-level seat tickets for any game next season. The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra has donated two tickets to an upcoming concert. In addition, various holiday treats and desserts will be available for auction.
Both nights, there will also be a 50/50 raffle. The winner will be entitled to both a small cash prize and the opportunity to conduct the orchestra through the final piece, “Sleigh Ride.” All proceeds from ticket sales, silent auction and raffle will go to the UW-Platteville Music Scholarship Fund.
Tickets may be purchased at the University Box Office by calling 608-342-1298 or online at tickets.uwplatt.edu. Tickets cost $10 for general admission and $5 for UW-Platteville students. Those who are interested in attending the gala are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as last year’s gala sold out.
The amount of the concert tickets may be used as a tax-deductible, charitable contribution.
