Camtasia for Screen Recording, Video Editing and Captioning (UW-Platteville)
Camtasia Studio is a software suite for creating video tutorials and presentations directly via screencast, or via a direct recording plug-in to Microsoft PowerPoint. When used as a video-based screen capturing software program, using Camtasia is like using a video camera to record your screen. In this case, though, the software is installed on your computer, so your screen captures are directly recorded to a digital video format with higher quality audio.
Camtasia has extensive video editing tools as well as post-production tools that allow captions to be added to video. Through Camtasia,it is possible to record, edit, produce and share course content. Editing features include callouts, transitions, zoom-in-pan, audio enhancements and more. Screen capture videos can be recorded with or without voice narration, and can be annotated after recording.
