Save the Date: Technology Mashup August 29-30
On Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30, a newly-expanded planning committee will host the bi-annual Technology Mashup for UW-Platteville employees. This professional development event features numerous tracks and dozens of technology topics of interest to instructional and non-instructional staff, targeting new and seasoned technology users alike.
Planned workshops cover new campus technologies like Windows 10 and Office 2016 as well as campus standards such as Desire2Learn, Office 365, and videoconferencing. Related topics include the Travel Expense Report, web CMS, and information literacy for the classroom plus so much more!
New this year are non-tech workshops from Life Matters and an evening technology track designed with adjunct instructors in mind. The popular Birds of a Feather lunch discussions will return. There will definitely be something for everyone!
Founded by members of ITS Support and Media Technology Services in 2011, Technology Mashup has grown to become a campus staple. Co-hosted with the former ICET (now Teaching & Technology Center) since 2014, the committee has recently been expanded to include representatives from Karrmann Library, Human Resources, the Distance Learning Center (DLC), and academic department associates. These new reps bring a fresh perspective and a wide network of colleagues and resources which have already served to enhance our offerings. We are confident their enthusiasm, experiences, and efforts will benefit this event and, in turn, the campus community.
Watch for more information to be sent this summer. If you have questions, please contact Deb Meyer, Mashup Committee chair, at email@example.com.
