Welcome to UW-Platteville!

Your benefits package is an important part of your total compensation.

As a new employee who is eligible for benefits, you have the opportunity to enroll in benefit plans within 30 days of start date. If you do not show up for a benefit session and adhere to the enrollment time period of 30 days, your benefit start date could be negatively affected. Insurance benefits are managed by a third-party administrator and therefore, start or end dates cannot be changed by anyone on campus.

Enrollment in benefit plans is accomplished in one of two ways:
eBenefits — in which most plans are elected via an online self-service process.
Paper-only — which requires that all plans be elected by the submission of paper forms.

Please note:  You may be eligible to receive up to a $2,000 Opt-Out Incentive from the UW if you Opt-Out (waive coverage) of State Group Health Insurance coverage.  The maximum annual Opt-Out Incentive is $2,000 for single or family coverage.

Prior to our meeting, you may want to review ALEX, an interactive tool that acts as an informative, virtual benefits counselor to help you learn more about our comprehensive benefits in a personalized way.
