This seminar explores the progression of roundabout safety evaluation in Wisconsin and how these techniques are used to compare intersection alternatives and analyze the safety performance of existing roundabouts. As implementation of roundabouts has grown over the years, so too has roundabout safety research and analysis techniques.

About the presenter

Amanda DeAmico is a 2009 UW-Platteville graduate and currently serves as a project manager in MSA’s roundabout design group. She has more than 14 years of experience focusing on solving intersection capacity and safety deficiencies with modern roundabouts. She specializes in roundabout design and implementation ranging from initial intersection feasibility studies and safety analysis to public involvement, and final plans, specifications, and estimates. DeAmico is also a peer reviewer and mentor on roundabout designs and plans and has taught classes on roundabout operational analysis and design. She has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the nation’s leading roundabout designers and has worked on hundreds of roundabout projects across the U.S.
