Women in STEM Career Day is for young women who are interested in learning about a career that requires creative problem solving, encourages forward thinking, makes a difference in society, and shares the future of our world.
While attending the Women in STEM Career Day, participants will learn about career options in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through exciting demonstrations and enjoy the opportunity to work in teams for hands-on projects. You will also get to know other young women who share your interests, and interact with college students, faculty, and industry from STEM disciplines. At the end of the day you should begin to see yourself interested in a STEM profession.
Women in STEM Career Day is open to young women in ninth through twelfth grade. Individuals, chaperoned school groups, and home school groups are all welcome. Women in STEM Career Day is a collaboration of women faculty, staff, and students from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
