Have you always wanted to write for children? Do you love picture books? Now’s your chance to learn more in a virtual class with children’s book author Lisl H. Detlefsen! In this four-week class, you will explore the different types of picture books on the market and learn techniques and tips for big-picture revision as well as strategies for fine tuning, all with plenty of Q and A time to ask your own questions about writing and publishing. Each class will also use Lisl’s books as examples of how the publishing process can go, from the glimmer of an idea to the final printed page. All levels and genres of writers are welcome, but this class is geared to beginner to intermediate level picture book writers. Participants must have a computer with a stable internet connection and the ability to share audio and video.
Thursdays, October 1, 8, 15, and 22 | 6:30-8 p.m.
