Solving the Climate Crisis

Solving the Climate Crisis
Where: Online
Begins: Oct. 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm
Ends: Oct. 24, 2020 at 2:30 pm

Join Bob Lindmeier, WKOW Chief Meteorologist, as he looks at how scientists have determined that we are in a climate crisis. Bob will look at how the warming climate has supercharged our atmosphere, which has resulted in more frequent and more intense extreme weather events. Bob will show projections of how much more the climate will change through the end of the century if we continue to burn fossil fuels at the rate we are now. This class will touch on solutions, including ways to rescue your carbon footprint and the absolute need to put a price on carbon. The solution is there, the question is do we have the political will to enact these changes? Participants must have a computer with a stable internet connection and the ability to share audio and video.

Class meets Saturday, Oct. 24 | 1-2:30 p.m.

Instructor: Bob Lindmeier

Cost of class: $35
