The EMS Engineering Seminar Series' second event is on Tuesday, Oct. 13 with Chad Hanson from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, presenting Plan and Design of the Red Wing Bridge over the Mississippi River. The Highway 63 bridge at Red Wing, MN provides the only regional crossing of the Mississippi River for approximately 30 miles upstream and downstream for several communities on both the Wisconsin and Minnesota sides of the river. This seminar will present the complex planning and design process that included many stakeholders, environmental impacts, land acquisition, river navigation, an historic downtown, and other considerations.

Attendees are eligible for one professional development hour.
