Collaborative Engineering Program Tuition and Financial Aid


UW Colleges
General education courses and pre-engineering courses are taken at UW-Fox Valley or UW-Rock County. Tuition and fees will be charged by UW-Fox Valley or UW-Rock County depending on where you take those courses. For more information on tuition and fees, contact the UW Colleges Business Office.

If you are enrolled in UW-Platteville courses, you will pay the tuition and fees for your professional engineering courses to UW-Platteville. For more information, contact the Cashier's Office.

Financial Aid

If you are taking courses from both UW-Fox Valley or UW-Rock County and UW-Platteville and qualify for financial aid, you will need to complete a consortium approval form. A new form must be completed every semester you are registered for classes at UW-Fox Valley or UW-Rock County and UW-Platteville. Financial aid will be disbursed through one institution, and it is your responsibility to pay the tuition and fees charged by the other institution.

Consortium Process

  1. Fill out the FAFSA and release the information to UW-Platteville. The school code for UW-Platteville is 003921.
  2. Register for classes with UW-Platteville and UW Colleges or Madison College.
  3. Complete the consortium approval form and return to Hattie Techlow at For questions on the consortium procedure, contact Hattie Techlow at 920.832.2854.
  4. Once you have accepted the financial aid, contact the UW-Platteville Cashier's Office at or 608.342.1211 to have the check mailed to your current address.

Scholarships for those pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering are also available. For more information about UW-Platteville's financial aid polices and procedures or academic progress standards, contact the Financial Aid Office.


UW-Platteville bills for each semester approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of each semester. You can find the financial agreement form, billing schedule, a tutorial to view your bill online, and more here.

Tuition, Segregated B fees for textbook rental, and other fees and charges related to UW-Platteville's provision of services will be charged to your PASS account. The initial payment is due by the sixth day of the semester.
