PYF is for 5th - 8th grade girls.
We welcome chaperoned school groups, home school groups, girl scout troops and individuals.
Pioneering Your Future in STEM is a collaboration of women faculty, staff, and students from UW-Platteville's Colleges of BILSA and EMS.
The tenative date for 2018 is Thursday, March 15. Please check back after 2017 program to confirm.
Learn about the exciting career opportunities that are available for women interested in STEM. The hands-on, interactive career sessions will give you some ideas for exploring careers that involve problem solving and experimentation, putting things together and taking them apart, and using what you learn in your studies of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Plus, it is lots of fun!

Each participant will be asked in the registration to select three topics of interest. We will try our best to put you in at least two topics of your choice, but we cannot guarantee it. Sessions will be assigned in order of date registered. You must attend these sessions as assigned.
Pioneering Your Future will be held in the Velzy Commons and Nohr Gallery located in Ullsvik Hall For GPS directions enter, 30 Hickory Street, Platteville.
Click HERE to register. (Registration will open in late January.) Priority registration deadline is March 9, 2017. Refunds, minus a $5.00 processing fee, will be given if requested via email prior to the March 9 deadline. No refunds available after March 9. Registrations will not be accepted after March 15. This program accepts 100 participants. Registration includes breakfast and lunch.
Teachers/Class Groups Only:
If you are bringing a large group of students and would like paper registration to send home to the students, click HERE. We do not accept paper registrations. The information still needs to be registered online prior to the registration deadline or the program being filled. We cannot hold spots while you collect paper registration and there is a risk that the program can fill before you are able to enter the names. This program fills quite quickly.

Click HERE to register. Chaperones can attend at no cost. They are required to pre-register and stay in the building for supervision during the event. Registering as a chaperone does not register the students. That needs to be done separately. Breakfast and lunch is available to all chaperones attending the event.
Note: We have closed the waiting list and will not be accepting any more participants. Please sign up for our mailing list for next years program.
If you are unable to register, that indicates we are full. Click HERE for the wait list. Chaperones or teachers please go to the waiting list to indicate how many students you want to bring. If we have openings we will contact you via email. If you were only able to register part of your group, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Waiting list will be opened when the program is full.)
