pioneering your future IN STEM

Thursday, March 23, 2017
Velzy Commons in Ullsvik Hall

Pioneering Your Future in STEM is for young women who are interested in learning about the exciting career opportunities that are available for women interesed in STEM.  The hands-on, interactive career sessions will give you some ideas for exploring careers that involve problem solving and experimentation, putting things together and taking them apart, and using what you learn in your studies of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Plus, it is lots of fun!

Pioneering Your Future in STEM is open to girls in fifth through eighth grade.  Individuals, chaperoned school groups, and home school groups are all welcome. Pioneering Your Future in STEM is a collaboration of women faculty, staff and students from UW-Platteville's Colleges of BILSA and EMS.

If you have a disability and would like to request accommodations, please contact us at or 608.342.7137.

If you are bringing a large group of students you can send paper registration to send home with the students to fill out.  That information will need to be entered into the online registration prior to the deadline.  Spots cannot be held while collecting paper registration and there is a risk that the program can fill out before the deadline.

There is no cost for chaperones to attend. Chaperones are required to pre-register and stay in the building for supervision during the event.  Registering as a chaperone does not register the students.  Breakfast and lunch is included for a chaperone registration.  If you would like to chaperone this event you must register here.
