Is UW-Platteville accredited?

Yes, UW-Platteville is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. UW-Platteville is nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

What are the entry requirements for the Master of Science in Organizational Change Leadership program?

All applicants must possess an undergraduate degree from an institution meeting University of Wisconsin System accreditation standards. A minimum grade point average of 2.75 is required. For more information, see the admission page.

How many courses do I need to complete to earn the degree?

The Master of Science in Organizational Change Leadership degree consists of 30-39 credits. Graduate transfer credits are approved on a case-by-case basis, but under no circumstances may transfer credits substitute for more than half the credits required to earn the degree. How many hours should I commit to study each week?

For graduate-level coursework, you should schedule at least 10-15 hours of study time per week for each course.

How are examinations administered?

Most online courses provide an online examination. Some online and all print-based courses require a paper examination administered by a proctor.

How long will it take to earn my degree?

The time required to earn a degree varies based on the number of transfer credits you receive, your course load, and other individual factors.

Full-time students (9 credits per semester, fall and spring) can complete the degree in two years. Students are allowed a maximum of seven years to complete the program.

Will I ever have to visit the campus?

No, you can earn the degree entirely at a distance. We do, however, invite our students and graduates to visit campus and participate in on-campus commencement ceremonies.

What is the cost of tuition? Are payment plans offered? Is financial aid available?

Tuition for online courses is $665 per credit regardless of residency and includes $30 per credit non-refundable tuition, plus a registration fee of $25 per semester.

There are no payment plans offered for distance courses as tuition and fees must be paid in full before you begin a course. American Express, MasterCard, and VISA are accepted.

Financial aid is available. To determine eligibility, contact the Financial Aid Office at 800.616.0412 and specify that you are a distance learning student.

Can I apply veteran education benefits to UW-Platteville's distance education programs?

There are a number of veteran education benefits that Veterans may be eligible to apply toward an approved distance learning program. Please contact the Wright Center for Non-Traditional and Veteran students for more information regarding your benefit eligibility. How long does the admission process take?

Once you've requested them, allow two weeks for all of your transcripts to arrive at UW-Platteville. Once they are received, the official review of your application and supporting documentation, as well as the official acceptance decision, is typically completed within two weeks. You will receive notice immediately following the admission decision.

Where should previous schools I've attended send my official transcripts?

Transcripts must be sent by the issuing institution to the address below. Transcripts sent by students will not be accepted or evaluated.

Ready2Learn gives you the opportunity to sample a course created in our online platform, Desire2Learn.  The course utilizes many of the features the online classroom would, including videos, discussions, and quizzes.
