Disability Services

The goal of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Distance Learning Center and the Services for Students with Disabilities Office is to create an accessible university community where students with disabilities can realize their full potential. We work with students, faculty, and staff to promote students' independence and to ensure assessment of their abilities, not disabilities.

Students who would like to utilize these services must provide the Distance Learning Center’s ADA liaison with current, relevant, and comprehensive documentation from a qualifying professional of a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.

If you are a current student, you must confirm that your VISA is up-to-date for the current academic school year.

If you will be requesting text in an alternative format as an approved academic accommodation, please have your textbooks sent to the Distance Learning Center at least 8 weeks prior to the first day of classes.

For more information, contact Marcia Rako, UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center ADA liaison, at 800.362.5460 or rakom@uwplatt.edu.
