Alumni Board helps grads stay in touch

November 25, 2013

As a student nearing graduation, you should be proud of all you have accomplished, and the Distance Learning Center would like to congratulate you on these achievements! Yet, your pride may be mixed with a little sadness. Now that your time with your program is coming to an end, you may miss the sense of community you’ve established with classmates, and as a UW-Platteville student. However, there are some great opportunities to stay involved in with UW-Platteville, starting with the Distance Education Alumni Board.

The Distance Education Alumni Board is a chapter of the Alumni Association dedicated to making sure the needs of distance education alumni are met. We understand that the online experience is different, and provide resources such as magazines and special events to keep our alumni as informed and engaged as possible. Here are some simple ways you can stay involved with UW-Platteville:

  • Take part in one of the regional alumni events. You can find information about events in your area here.
  • Notify the Distance Learning Center when your mailing or e-mail address changes by filling out this form.
  • Join the alumni association to gain access to resources such as the UW-Platteville Career Center.
  • Take a continuing education course to learn a new skill or hobby. We have credit and non-credit courses, online and on campus, that cover a wide range of topic areas. Learn more

Again, we at the Distance Learning Center congratulate all the new graduates and hope that you will stay connected to UW-Platteville.
