Know your FERPA rights

Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), there are rules and regulations in place regarding the release and access of student information. While UW-Platteville generally will not release student record information, we do publish a student directory. UW-Platteville Online announces Ruth Miller Distance Education Challenge Scholarship

The UW-Platteville Distance Learning Center is proud to announce that Ruth Miller, one of the University’s first Distance Education graduates, has created the Ruth Miller Distance Education Challenge Scholarship. Miller completed her Business Administration degree in 1982, and the scholarship will assist Business Administration distance students in completing their education. UW-Platteville signs credit agreement with UC-San Diego Extension

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville and its Distance Learning Center (www.GoUWP.com) have reached a credit transfer agreement with the University of California-San Diego Extension. The agreement gives UC-San Diego Extension students the opportunity to turn certificate coursework into graduate credit toward UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Integrated Supply Chain Management (MSISCM), one of the most highly regarded and unique graduate-level supply chain programs in the nation. Fall 2015 marks the beginning of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s sesquicentennial celebration. In the coming year, the university will celebrate 150 years of providing high caliber education to students throughout southwest Wisconsin and the world over. Attend the Fall 2015 Career Fair

Distance students are invited to campus for the Fall 2015 Career Fair. The event runs September 28 to October 1 and features both local and national employers from a wide variety of fields, many of whom have a history of hiring UW-Platteville graduates for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions. Jennifer Williamson-Mendez, Director of the Academic and Career Advising Center, anticipates this semester’s event will be bigger and better than ever. Read more...
