Foley wins Academic Staff Award for Excellence
Outreach Program Manager Amy Foley was recently honored with the 2015 UW-Platteville Academic Staff Award for Excellence. The award is presented annually to a non-instructional academic staff member who has provided essential service to the university while demonstrating excellence of performance, personal interaction, initiative, creativity, and outstanding achievement.
“I was speechless when I found out,” said Foley. “I feel very humbled and honored to receive this award, as there are so many wonderful academic staff who deserve this award. I certainly thank those who nominated me and wrote their letters of support.”
Foley is the Academic Advising and Outreach Manager and oversees the advising area of the DLC. She is also active with the United States Distance Learning Association and Online Learning Consortium and has presented at several distance education conferences throughout the past year. Foley joined the DLC in 2004.
Foley received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from UW-Platteville and her master’s degree in organizational leadership from Nichols College. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Nichols College.
