- Be Consistent. This can be difficult with a college student’s schedule, but consistency is important to make the exercise a habit.
- Follow an Effective Exercise Routine. A combo of strength training and cardio to boost metabolism, build muscle, and lose fat.
- Set Realistic Goals. College students are busy. Try to set a goal that you can achieve with a little determination.
- Use the Buddy System. It’s always helpful to find another person to exercise with to enjoy the time and to keep each other accountable.
- Make Your Plan Fit Your Life. Lots of options exist to get moving more…maybe you prefer the gym, maybe you prefer to walk instead of taking the bus at campus, maybe you join a yoga class, maybe you do exercise videos at home. Find which options work best for you.
- Be Happy. Pick activities that you enjoy doing!
- Be Patient. Even the most diligent person will have ups and downs, setbacks and victories. Keep trying and don’t give up.
