What Birth Control is Right for You?

The Student Health Services offers many options for birth control. Deciding on the best method for your lifestyle can be confusing. Your healthcare provider will help you make the best choice for your lifestyle. 

Available at the Student Health Services

The Student Health Services offers the following birth control options:

  • Condoms - free of charge
  • Birth Control Pills
  • Depo Provera (the Shot)
  • Plan B and Ella (Emergency Contraception)

To get started on prescription birth control, make an appointment by calling 608.342.1891.

If you are already on prescription birth control, you can have your prescription transferred to the Student Health Services. Call to make an appointment for a record transfer.

Emergency Contraception

Plan B (Emergency Contraception) may prevent a pregnancy after birth control failure or unprotected sex. The sooner it is taken after unprotected sex the more effective it is at preventing pregnancy. It is available at the Student Health Services for a reduced cost. It is also available at most local pharmacies.
