Pre-Professional Days

Pre-Professional Days at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville are held once a semester in October and March The event is open to students within the School of Education.

Teacher candidate interview assessment

All teacher candidates enrolled in TEACHING 4210 Pre-student teaching at middle/secondary level, TEACHING 4250 Senior seminar, or HHP 4530 Practicum in adaptive physical education, during the current semester are required to participate in the interview assessment. All details of the interview process will be explained to you in the above courses before the actual interview.

You will be required to complete an interview with a team of two faculty members during the Pre-Professional Days. Please arrive to your interview at least 15 minutes early to complete your paperwork, gather your thoughts, and relax!

Professional development sessions

Local educators, administrators, UW-Platteville alumni and faculty members present on many current educational topics. As a School of Education student, you will be required to attend several of the professional development sessions for your classes.

Examples of prior topics have included: My Experiences as a Beginning Teacher, Study Abroad Opportunities, and Working with Students with Special Needs in Your Classroom.

The professional development sessions will be located in Doudna Hall this spring.
