Tuition and Financial Aid
If you are enrolled in UW-Platteville courses, you will pay tuition and fees for your professional engineering courses to UW-Platteville.
General Education and Pre-Engineering Courses
If you take general education and pre-engineering courses at institutions other than UW-Platteville, tuition and fees for those courses will be charged by that institution.
If you are taking courses simultaneously from both UW-Platteville and another institution and qualify for financial aid, you will need to complete a consortium approval form.
A new form must be completed every semester you are registered for classes at UW-Platteville and another institution. Financial aid will be disbursed through one institution, and it is your responsibility to pay the tuition and fees charged by the other institution.
Financial Aid Consortium Process
- Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and release the information to UW-Platteville. The school code for UW-Platteville is 003921.
- Register for classes with both UW-Platteville and the other institution.
- Complete the consortium approval form and return it to Hattie Techlow at email@example.com. For questions about the financial aid consortium process, call Hattie Techlow at 920.832.2854 or email Mike Huser at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Once you have accepted your financial aid, email the UW-Platteville Cashier's Office at email@example.com or call 608.342.1211 to have the check mailed to your current address.
Scholarships are also available for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
UW-Platteville bills for each semester approximately two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. You can find the financial agreement form, billing schedule, a tutorial about how to view your bill online, and more at the Cashier’s Office.
Tuition and Segregated B fees for textbook rental will be charged to your UW-Platteville PASS account. The initial payment is due by the sixth day of the semester.
