Graduation and Commencement Information
Applying to Graduate
To apply for graduation, complete the Graduation Application by clicking on your Task tile in PASS and pay your Degree Assessment Fee; this application will become available approximately six months before you are ready to graduate. If you do not have the Graduation Application when you click your Task tile and feel it should be there, please contact your advisor. Please note: You must complete all fields of the graduation application, including the degree name and diploma address, to ensure you receive your diploma.
For students who live in the area, Countdown to Commencement provides a one-stop location to meet all your graduation needs. Students can order commencement apparel, learn more about alumni services, and meet with the Career and Professional Development Office.

A professional photographer will take a photo of each graduate at the commencement ceremonies. For more information about ordering these professional photos, click here.
Additionally, our division photographer will take photos of all graduates - individually and with their guests - at the Division of Professional Studies Commencement Reception. We will also be taking group photos by program throughout the reception. Graduates will receive photos via postal mail. Additionally, graduates can access photos on the DPS Alumni Facebook.
The reception is held in the Markee Pioneer Student Center. All ceremonies are held in the Williams Fieldhouse, which is connected to the Pioneer Activity Center. We suggest using Lots 26, 3, 3A, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7A, and 8. All of these lots are a short walk to the Markee Pioneer Student Center and the Pioneer Athletic Center. Lot 9 is handicap parking only and close to both locations. You can find all of these parking lots on the parking map.
Write a message of gratitude to your family, friends, faculty and staff members, and anyone else you'd like to recognize. Your message will be displayed at your college's commencement ceremony.
Receipt of Degree
Once your final grades are posted, your activity tracker is completed, and all financial obligations are met, a final degree assessment will be completed. When your degree is conferred, you will receive an official student copy of your transcript reflecting your degree. About 10-12 weeks after the end of the semester, you should then receive your actual diploma/degree in the mail.
NOTE: You will not receive a diploma or an official transcript until all financial obligations are met.
Contact the Division of Professional Studies at 608.342.1411 for more information.
