The Art Program at UW-Platteville provides students with many art opportunities including working with accomplished artists, participation in art clubs, attending art events, joining professional art organizations, community arts engagement, and providing art instruction.
Guest artists from a wide variety of art disciplines lecture and perform workshops throughout each academic year. Past guests include: Jobe Cerny, Mobile Type, Peter Fraterdeus, Art Shegonee.
Clubs help build community between art students and provide experiences to display, promote, and sell works of art.
A variety of events around the Tri-State area allow students to display current work or participate in live art experiences.
Art Education Teaching Events
Art Education majors travel to schools, universities and organizations to partner on unique art education teaching opportunities including the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, UW-Platteville Children’s Center, and Mineral Point School District.
