Knitting Hats Two Ways

Saturday, November 9, 2013 - 12:30pm to 3:30pm
Ullsvik 104

Participants must bring their own supplies.  Learn two methods of constructing a knit hat, flat and in-the-round. Demystify those strange-looking circular needles and double-pointed needles. Create two different on-trend, slouchy hats. The Theo hat uses a novelty faux fur yarn. Night Hat uses 185 yards of any worsted weight yarn, but a self-stiping yarn makes an exceptionally special hat. Required materials: 1 skein Paton’s Theo, and 185 yards of any worsted-weight yarn. Knitting needles: sizes US 15 (14”) for Theo and for Knit Night Hat, US6 (4mm) and US8 (5mm) both in 16” circular needles, and one set of double pointed needles sized US8 (5mm). All supplies should be brought to the first class, as we will make one hat and start the second.
