A Creative Invitation

Wednesday, February 12, 2014 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm
0010 Ullrich Hall

Do you love art, but can’t draw a stick person? Then this is the
creative opportunity for you. Apprehensive adults will learn to
trace stick people and turn them into art. The focus is on the act
of creating not the end product. Empty out your junk drawer, grab
a couple dusty magazines, bring your favorite quote and join in
the fun of this multi-media drawing, painting, sculpting and creating
adventure. These simple techniques are within the skills of pre-teens.
So, if you were 10 years old once, you have all the talent necessary to
enjoy this course in creative expression. Participants will be asked to
bring items to personalize their project, (ie. broken toys, pen springs,
plastic parts for “something” that’s no longer functional, etc.), a
magazine or two, a favorite quote, and any of the following if they
already own them: a hot glue gun, a pair of scissors, paint brushes and
any children’s art supplies that once struck their fancy. The cost is $35.
