The online application is available is available at apply.wisconsin.edu on Aug. 1 for the following fall semester. Applications may be submitted beginning on Sept. 1. Review of applications begins on September 15. Students with a complete application file typically receive notice of admission within two weeks. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis, and applications are processed as long as space is available or until enrollment goals have been met. To request a waiver of the application fee for students with financial hardship, please complete the Application Fee Waiver form.
If we have requested letters of recommendation from English, mathematics or science teachers, the UW System Recommendation for Undergraduate Admission Form may be used.
Residency for Tuition Purposes
Upon admission to UW-Platteville, a student is classified as either a resident of Wisconsin for tuition purposes or as a nonresident, based on the provisions of Wisconsin Statutes 36.27(2) and the information supplied on the application. Learn more about Residency for Tuition Purposes.

In addition to traditional campus visits, we also offer specialty visits that are tailored to meet the needs of each individual group. On campus specialty visits have included activities such as tours of the Forensic Investigation Crime Scene House, Engineering Hall and cadaver lab. Specialty visits can also be arranged for UW-Platteville representatives to travel to your school.
Another specialty program visit opportunity is Paths to Platteville, which brings first generation and underrepresented high school students to UW-Platteville to learn more about our campus, as well as the admission and financial aid process.
