RE: Professional Development Proposals
The deadline for submitting Academic Staff Professional Development grant proposals for Part 1 of the academic year is Friday, April 20, 2018, by 4:00 pm. The committee will review and consider proposals for projects that beginning on or after July 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018. The current amount of funding available is approximately $8853 for Part 1. Please note the following important changes from prior applications:
- Printed copies are no longer required and all application materials should be submitted digitally to the Chair of the committee.
- If travel is required for your activity, a PDF from the TravelWise Lodging/Meal & Incidental Calculator (https://uw.foxworldtravel.com/) must be included with application materials and the information from the calculator must be accurately reflected in your application’s budget page. Applications missing this document will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.
- The evaluation criteria that the committee uses to evaluate proposals is now available on the website. The committee encourages you to review the information and submit a complete and thorough application.
If this is your first application, prior year proposals and follow-up evaluations are available for your review in the Provost’s office. Ask for the Academic Staff Professional Development Proposals.
The completed application (as an electronic file) must be received no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018. Please submit materials and/or questions to Chair Jason Artz via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
