Ebony Weekend Conference

Friday, February 21, 2014 - 3:00pm to Sunday, February 23, 2014 - 12:30pm
UW-Platteville Campus

The initial purpose of the Ebony Weekend Conference is to celebrate the generations in the black community and seek to bridge the gap between them. Although, we will still be focusing on the initial purpose, BSU would also like to focus upon the 2014’s Ebony Weekend Conference theme, Generation I to Us. Generation I to Us will mainly focus on analyzing and creating potential resolutions to change the individualistic mindsets of individuals and the communities that we live in today, to a more collectivist community and mindset. In other words, how can we create more unity amongst the individuals in the African American community?
We will address these issues through workshops, social interaction, substantial dialogue, inspiring lecturers, networking and entertainment. Are you willing to change your community from the Generation I to Us?  If so, join us at the 2014 Ebony Weekend Conference taking place at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Feb. 21-23, to share your ideas and insights on how to change Generation I to Us. All necessary details regarding the conference can be found at ebonyweekend.weebly.com.
