Chemistry 400,
Undergraduate Research
is an opportunity for students to become involved in an independent project with
a faculty member of their own choosing in an area that holds strong interests for
them. We have found that the investigative techniques, the collabarative efforts,
and the problem solving skills of research enhances student's abilities and increases
the likelyhood of their entering the graduate school of their choice or securing
the position of their choice. I have been focusing attention in two areas.
New experiments and techniques for the microscale organic laboratory.
Development of applications of Information Technology for instruction.
Students interested in working on these topics or even other topics should contact
me personally.
