Course Information

• Text: Algebra and Trigonometry by Larson and Hostetler

• Calculator: Graphing Calculator required (TI-83, 85, or 86 recommended). NO TI-89s.

• Class Meeting: Monday/ Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 11:00-11:52, Room: Ottensman Hall 116

• Final Exam, Tuesday, December 18, 8:00-9:52am

Grading Information

The grades in class will be based on four in-class exams (100 points each), the final (150 points), quizzes (75 points) and homework (75 points), for a total of 700 points. The grade scale will generally be: 63-700 points (90-100%), A; 560-629 points (80-89%), B; 490-559 points (70-79%), C; 420-489 points (60-69%), D; and below 420 (below 60%), F.

NOTE: Homework is collected daily. Late homework is not accepted and there are NO MAKE-UPS on homework. Homework problems with an answer but no work shown will not be graded. I encourage working together, however each student must submit his own write-up for all problems. Selected problems will be graded for a total of 75 points.
