I am currently (since 2010) an assistant professor in the
Chemistry and Engineering Physics department
at the
University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Most of the work featured in my website was done as a postdoc (2008-2010) in Dave Pritchard's
physics education research group (
RELATE) at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
My Ph.D (2005) is in astrophysics/cosmology from the
University of Michigan, advised by Gordon Kane and Fred Adams.
My undergraduate education was at the University of Wisconsin (Madison), where I worked on numerical models of the Lyman-alpha forest under the supervision of
Don Cox. In between getting my Ph.D and joining the RELATE group, I taught introductory college physics at the
Naval Academy Peparatory School (NAPS) in Newport, RI.
