Servers and camping
Server Changes
I've been so busy lately at work, that I've not even thought about posting on my own web site. The hot topic at work has been our server change. We're now officially running the UW-Platteville web site on our Novell Netware servers. It was a wild ride, and now we're in the cleanup mode.
The new environment sets the stage for many other new things that will be available on campus, so everyone is pretty excited. There is never a good time to switch servers, so I'm glad that we did it and it's out of the way before school starts.
Camping... kinda
This weekend the Frommelt family will be gathering in Prairie du Chien for my parent's 40th anniversary party. Their anniversary was back in June, but we couldn't get everyone together until now. It should be a great party!
The problem with these kinds of gatherings is that all of my siblings arrive back at home. That's not really a problem, but it does make sleeping arrangements a bit cramped, and the bathroom availability even more critical.
We were thinking about staying at a hotel and letting the kids swim, but we always talked about camping sometime with the boys. For the price of a hotel room, we could get a nice tent. So after discussing this a bit more, we purchased a tent, and this weekend, we'll camp out at my parent's home.
The boys are really excited!
