Packer Family Night
This past weekend, I took my family to the Packer Family Night up at Lambeau Field. It was part of a planned mini vacation that I think we'll try to make into an annual event. The boys had a blast!
Max and Mic having fun at the lighthouse. Our first stop in the trip was to Fon du Lac, WI. We played with some friends at a go-cart track and played some mini-golf. We then went to have a mini picnic by the lake and then stopped by at the lighthouse and had our picture taken.
The entire way into the stadium, I carried Mic on my shoulders so he wouldn't get run over by the crowd. Mic was chanting out to the crowd, "Packers, Packers, Packers..." It was really cute. We got into the stadium with minimal effort, found our seats, and as if on cue both of the boys looked at me and asked if they could have popcorn. Hey what the heck, this is their first time at Lambeau, so I figured we'd have some treats.
View of the crowds at Lambeau.I know that Lambeau is expensive. That didn't bother me because I was expecting it. It apparently did bother the couple that was right behind us though. Of course they did have quite a bit to drink, and used lots of language that wasn't with the theme: FAMILY NIGHT. Oh well.
After the inner squad scrimmage, twenty of the jerseys were given out as door prizes to twenty lucky people (of the 60,000+ in attendance). That was followed by he boys' favorite part of the evening: the fireworks display! What FUN!
On Sunday, we drove back to Madison, to visit my sister Sarah. We ate lunch with her and then went disc golfing for part of the afternoon. We then did a little shopping and headed home.
What a great weekend!
