Other duties as assigned, like Billboards

So the other day, I get a phone call from the Admission Office. They want to know if they can borrow my students for a photo that would be used on a new billboard. This is all part of their new advertising campaign.

The conversation which my staff heard went something like this:

I have seven students.

Five guys and two gals.

I'll ask and see if I get volunteers.

By the end of the phone call, I got quite a few strange looks, as they collectively said, "What was that about?" So I explained the situation and got four volunteers to agree to be in the photo shoot with some other students on campus.

Four of these students are from the Web Development Office at UW-Platteville.

So on the way out to the World's Largest "M" (Platteville's claim to fame), we stopped and picked up Max from school. He took a road trip with us out to the "M" for the photo shoot. It was kind of fun, and definitely a warm day. The students were joking with me saying, "Is this the part of the job description that is 'Other Duties As Assigned'?"

We'll have to wait and see what picture was selected for the shoot, and then find out which billboard was leased for the next year. A road trip will have to be in order soon to collect more pictures!
