Congratulations! Your presentation at...

On Friday, I received an emial from the Vice President and Program Chair for CUMREC 2004. It started out:

Congratulations! Your presentation at CUMREC 2004, "Benefits of Web Standards" has been awared one of two Best Presentation Awards for the conference.

Wow! I'm really flattered that I've attended and presented at two national web development conferences, and at both conferences, I've achieved the Best Presentation Awards! It's really nice to be recognized for your hard work.

Presenting at the University of Wisconsin

My next presentations are only a week away. Next Monday and Tuesday, I'll be presenting two sessions on Web Standards at the Campus Web Council of Wisconsin (CWCW) Summer Conference. I'll also be presenting on how to breakdown CSS pages through numerous examples. It should be a great set of sessions, and it seems to be generating a lot of interest in the Madison area.

I'm very active with the CWCW group as an Executive Committe Member. I'm glad that we have such a great group of people that work throughout the state of Wisconsin. It's fun to get together and share notes, and spend time. We've built lots of relationships and I think it benefits everyone to go to these meetings and get ideas and recharge. Luckily, I get to bring some students with me, so I get to give them a good perspecive 'real world work' as well.
