CALLING TUBA & EUPHONIUM PLAYERS OF ALL AGES

The University of Wisconsin - Platteville is honored to host ITEA's Midwest Regional Tuba/Euphonium Conference March 7-9, 2013

WANT TO PRESENT AT MWRTEC 2013?

All conference performances shall include at least one “World-Premiere” (original composition or new arrangement). Artists wishing to give a performance, lecture, or masterclass must submit a proposal and demonstrate how they intend to incorporate the idea of “Premiere” into their presentation. At this time, all proposals are limited to professional and faculty artists who reside in the Midwestern region of the U.S. and are due by email or post to the conference host by October 15, 2012. Faculty may submit proposals to feature their student ensembles if they choose. A student-specific recital is being planned; details TBA.

COMPETITIONS APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

First visit the competitions page to see repertoire and PRIZE MONEY!! Then, all soloists must send a non-refundable $40 competition fee by February 1, 2013. Quartets must send a non-refundable $80 ($20 each) competition fee by February 1, 2013. These fees do NOT include the conference registration fee ($65 non-ITEA members and $35 (eMember)/$40 for ITEA members), which is payable upon arrival at the conference. While there is no limit to the number of competitors at this time, the host may choose to close the competition due to time constraints...so don't delay in getting your application in!

Make your check or money order payable to: “UW-Platteville Low Brass Ensemble” and send it along with a note stating your name, address, phone number, email address and which piece you are planning to perform, to:

There is no application fee to enter the tuba/euphonium quartet composition contest (sponsored by Sotto Voce), simply email your materials to the conference host by January 1, 2013.
