Doc Hammill’s Ranch affected by Montana Skyland Fire—August 4th, 2007 |
|
The fire that swept through his ranch destroyed his barn and its contents and several other out buildings. All the horses and humans are fine. But Doc lost his wagons, and much of his equipment that he uses to teach his driving workshops at the ranch. Neighbors and friends have helped during the cleanup process. Temporary storage has been setup to store harness, equipment and grain. Replacing the barn will have to wait til next summer. Those wishing to help to help Doc can send a check to the Doc Hammill Relief Rund, c/o Glacier Bank, 319 East Second St., Whitefish, MT 59937 Those who would like to send Doc a note, his address is PO Box 415, East Glacier Park, MT 59434 |
