Text Box: My Horse Interests
Horses have been a big part of my life. My current interest focuses on driving Quarter Horses. Bold Endeavor Gus and Bold Endeavor Opal are the horses that I am competing with at this time. They drive single and pair and tandem. They are seasoned and have been exposed to all kinds of experiences.   Gus and Opal are full brother and sister and I have owned them since they were 3 and 4 years old.  They are both broke to ride and we condition doing lots of riding in the hills of southwest Wisconsin.

In this photo we are competing at a distance drive sanctioned by the Midwest Distance Driving Association.

Here we are competing at the Columbus Carriage Classic in June.  The show is recognized by the American Driving Society and is a wonderful competition.  The town of Columbus is very involved with all aspects of the festivities. One of those was the Dickison Parade, Saturday afternoon. Larry Schultz, Milton, Wisconsin, drove the horses under the tutelage of Howard Kietzke, Franksville, Wisconsin.  I was the groom and sounded the coach horn during the parade.

Two years ago we participated in the American Driving Society Weekend of Pleasure Driving held at the Kentucky Horse Park. John and Betsy Freiburger of Hickory Knoll Farm, Oregon, WI and Larry Schultz and Ken Price, Spirit Wisconsin helped me with the horses.

In the pictures below, we are competing at the Villa Louis Carriage Classic .  The water hazard is at the left and the popular Picnic Class is on the right.
