Women’s and Gender Studies

CSS to Hide Title

The Women and Gender Studies Program at UW-Platteville is an interdisciplinary academic program that examines the contributions of women to history, science, and the arts, and analyzes prevalent societal misconceptions about sex and gender. In order to gain a complex understanding of these issues, we offer courses in a variety of departments. Women and Gender Studies faculty, both male and female, are committed to exploring why traditional disciplines often exclude women's perspectives and to strengthening students' knowledge about themselves. Commited and considerate teachers, professors teaching in our program, strive to provide high-quality undergraduate education for women and men facing the challenges of the 21st century and an increasingly globalized world.
