This UW-Platteville Women in Engineering, Math, and Science Program sponsored event introduces young women to the exciting and world-changing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Throughout the weekend, participants will have to opportunity to work in teams on hands-on projects, have fun, and learn about how a career in a STEM profession helps our society. The participants will be interacting with each other, college students, and professionals all while participating in exciting and challenging projects related to STEM. The weekend will also include presentations from professionals and student organizations on campus and other activities. The full weekend events will be held on the UW-Platteville campus, with the participants staying in the Cooper Living and Learning Center at the UW-Platteville Farm.
The program is intended for young women ages 16-18 (grades 11-12) who are interested in using all of their skills to impact our world in a positive manner. Registration will be limited to 30 girls for each session. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Registrations and fees are returned if the enrollment limit has been exceeded. Confirmation letters will be sent to participants along with forms and information.

The cost for this event is $75 per girl and includes housing, food, and all project supplies. Scholarships are available by contacting the director.
