Ultra-Edit - The best text editor out there, period. It recognizes many types of coding (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl, etc.) and colorizes the keywords for easy editing. Web Development uses this text editor almost exclusively for creating our web pages. Available in a shareware trial version.
Macromedia Dreamweaver - Allows you to build your HTML cleanly and quickly through a graphical interface.
Adobe Photoshop - One of the most extensive imaging programs ever made. Photoshop allows you to edit nearly every picture format, and has tons of filters and options. The Web Office would be lost without this program.
Adobe ImageReady - Now bundled with Adobe Photoshop 5.5, ImageReady allows you to create graphics for the web very easily.
Adobe Illustrator - An imaging program for vector graphics (whereas Photoshop uses bitmapped graphics). Quite a few options, and excellent for designing graphics and logos.
Adobe Acrobat - Allows you to create easily printable documents for the web that are cross-platform. You can also create forms that your web page viewers are able to fill out online.
Macromedia Fireworks - Good for buttons, animations, and page comps.
Macromedia Flash - Implement animation, vector graphics, and sound together on your website.
