Student Governance

• Presidents' Council - Council made up of the presidents of the various student governance groups on campus
• RHA (Residence Hall Association) - The group responsible for the policies that govern life in the residence halls
• SCAC (Student Center Advisory Committee) - Governance group responsible for reviewing policies pertaining to the Student Center and it's satellite operations.
• Student Senate - Governance group responsible for policies that effect student life
• STAC (Student Technology Advisory Committee) - Committee that determines where the technology fees students pay are spent
• SUFAC (Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee) - Governance group which distributes the segregated fees to the various organizations on campus
• UGC (United Greek Council) - Governance group responsible for the policies that govern the Greek community

Academic Staff

• Academic Staff Senate
  • Represents appropriate constituencies individually and as a group.
  • Acts as liaison between the Senate and constituent groups, other governance bodies, and University and System administration.

Faculty

• Faculty Senate
  • Represents and is responsible to the general faculty and is the highest forum for faculty participation in the formulation of general University missions, strategies, and policies.
  • Reviews the work and acts upon the recommendations of the Academic Planning Council and reviews the work of the Student Affairs Council.
  • Makes appointments and conducts elections as required by the Faculty Bylaws to maintain prescribed membership on the Senate and other organizations.
  • Takes matters to the general faculty at regular or special meetings as required and appropriate.
