UW-Platteville traffic and parking regulations brochures are available from the University Police Office, first floor, Royce Hall or www.uwplatt.edu/police. If you have any questions or concerns relating to any aspect of parking/traffic, please call the University Police Office, 342-1584.
Related RegulationsThe University requires a parking permit be displayed while parking in any university parking lot during posted hours, except for meters. Signs are posted at the entrance of each parking lot indicating the type of permit required and hours of enforcement. The appropriate permit must be displayed, or the vehicle will be ticketed, whether or not the driver has a permit in his/her possession. Anyone may use the parking meters, however displaying a parking permit does not exempt the driver from paying the meter during hours of enforcement.
Residence hall students may apply for one moveable parking permit and one motorcycle permit allowing them to park in residence hall parking lots twenty four hours a day while school is in session during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students residing off-campus may apply for one moveable parking permit and one motorcycle permit allowing them to park in designated commuter lots during posted hours. There is a replacement fee for any reason that a replacement permit is needed. A student may exchange one type of permit for another at no cost, if his/her address change is confirmed through Housing or the Registrar’s Office. Parking permits are not transferable from one person to another.
