Scanning Tips

Please send photos that are the highest resolution settings your scanner software will allow.

In your scanner settings, look for "Resolution." There should be a changeable field next to the word "PPI" or "DPI."  PPI stands for pixels per inch and DPI stands for dots per inch.

The higher the number you select, the greater the resolution. The standard is 300 PPI/DPI. However, if you want to double the size of a photo, scan it at 600 PPI/DPI. Remember, high resolution means your scanned photos will be a large file size.

Scan the image you want to use and save it to your computer.
